We achieved planning approval for the erection of a part two-storey, part single-storey rear extension for a house in Kingston upon Thames. The approved scheme also includes the erection of a rear piggyback roof extension, two side dormer roof extensions, a rear Juliet balcony, and the installation of four side rooflights to facilitate a loft conversion.
To support our Design and Access Statement, we undertook a thorough review of the planning policies, planning history, and right-to-light assessments, including degree plans. The project presented several challenges, particularly due to the site's compact urban setting. However, through careful research and by proactively addressing the concerns raised by the case planning officer, we successfully secured planning approval.
