This project involved a full renovation and extension of an existing home, including a single-storey rear extension, a garage conversion, garden renovation, frontdrive and a complete internal refurbishment tailored to their lifestyle and needs. Works included replacing the roof, adding a new front porch, upgrading insulation, rewiring, installing underfloor heating, and adding air-conditioning for year-round comfort.
The layout was reconfigured to create a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area, with a dedicated utility kitchen for wet and Asian-style cooking, and a dining area beneath rooflights that bring abundant natural light into the space. The rear extension enhances the connection to the garden, while the outbuilding provides a quiet office or study. Accessibility and comfort were key priorities, resulting in a bright, open, and highly functional home. The construction cost was £310,000, with a total project cost of approximately £450,000.
