This is a single storey rear extension and new out building in the garden for a retired couple. The main works involved replacing the roof, adding a new front porch, new insulation to the whole house internally, replacing all the electrical wiring and installing underfloor heating. The redesigned internal layout includes a large open plan kitchen (dry), a smaller utility kitchen (wet / asian cooking) and a large dining area under the rooflights as well as complete refurbushment of the interiors. The space feels much more open and comfortable with a lot of external light and accessible designed. The new out building in the garden functions an office / study. This design was created with the client's lifestyle and needs in mind. Air-condition units are also added. The construction costs is £310,000, and the total project cost is around £450,000.
